Alicia Emr Art Advisory is based in Austin, TX, and works with individual and corporate clients to acquire artwork that fits their taste, space and collecting goals.  We develop a custom acquisition strategy for each client and offer full services that accompany the purchase of a work of art. We believe that building an art collection should be enjoyable, not intimidating. The perfect work of art is the one that speaks to you and aligns with your overall objectives for collecting — we have the expertise and network to help you find it.

To identify the works that best meet our client’s needs, we keep a constant pulse on the market. We conduct extensive research, visit art fairs, and maintain close working relationships with top artists, galleries and art dealers worldwide. Special focus areas include emerging and mid-career contemporary artists as well as local Austin artists. Through our relationships, we provide access to an ever-growing network of high quality art sources for works across all price points.

Who We Are

Alicia Emr, Principal

With more than 15 years experience in the arts, development and corporate giving, Alicia Emr complements her deep appreciation and knowledge of the contemporary art market with strong business and client service skills. After earning a BS in Corporate Speech Communications and a minor in Art History from UT Austin, she began her career at the Austin Museum of Art and later served as a consultant to Duke University’s Nasher Museum of Art.

During her time in NYC, she oversaw community affairs for UBS, known for one of the top post-modern corporate art collections in the world. Upon her return to Austin, she led the Corporate & Foundation Relations team at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business. Alicia’s philosophy that art should be accessible to everyone has been cultivated throughout her career, and she is passionate about guiding her clients to works they love.
